The Modline® 4 series are economical infrared sensors suitable for OEM applications. This pyrometer requires a two-wire power supply (16 to 40 Vdc) and a compatible output (recording or control device) installed to implement the device system loop. Several devices can be installed in the serial current loop-as long as the total voltage drop of each device does not exceed the total loop voltage.


Modline 4 works with DC and has no moving parts to ensure reliable performance. The solid-state electronic devices include chopper stabilized amplifiers to ensure accurate, long-term drift-free stable operation. The device offers 3 kinds of optical resolutions, making it possible to measure light spots as small as 7.6 mm (0.3"). It can be calibrated on-site using a certified black body.


Using digital emissivity control, it can be adjusted in 0.01 increments; using a response time regulator (potentiometer), you can select a value in the range of 0.15 to 10 s to suit almost any process requirement.


A peak picker filter is provided to provide a smooth temperature indication and output when measuring intermittent targets.


NEMA 4 (IP56) grade aluminum housing, six different spectral responses and Modline 4 mounting flange make the IR sensor very suitable for various OEM applications in harsh environments
