product description

The ScanIR®3 thermal scanner is designed for a variety of non-contact temperature measurement applications, including those in harsh industrial environments. Its sturdy shell combines standard water cooling and air purification functions, and a built-in laser sight. The sturdy processor box can provide general input and output (I/O) functions in the field without the need for an external computer.

The ScanIR3 line scanner and thermal imaging system has one of the fastest scanning speeds in the industry, and can even provide complete data on the fastest manufacturing processes. Unlike point sensors that measure a single point, a line scanner measures multiple temperature points on the scan line. Its motorized mirror scans at a speed of 150 lines per second, which can quickly detect temperature unevenness and hot spots. The rotating optics collects infrared radiation at 1024 points within a 90-degree field of view, and the industry-leading optical resolution (up to 200:1) can detect small temperature anomalies.

The ScanIR3 system is very easy to deploy and manage: a single-head sensor head cable with a binder and a one-button connector to the scanner enables fast and trouble-free installation. The processor box of this unit supports various industrial interfaces, including Ethernet, optical fiber (optional) and analog/digital I/O.

This advanced infrared scanner is designed for reliability and continuous operation, providing accurate real-time thermal imaging and other functions, including:

· Reliable brushless scanning motor

· Field-replaceable windows

ScanView™Pro software

ScanView Pro software provides real-time thermal imaging for temperature monitoring, display and analysis. Using ScanView Pro software, you can quickly detect hot spots or unevenness before problems occur. The multifunctional ScanView Pro software allows custom configuration of ScanIR3 operating parameters, and displays thermal images and temperature curves on a standard personal computer (PC).

The software has the function of subdividing the thermal image of ScanIR3 line scanner into specific parts of interest. The temperature in each section can be processed for a certain mathematical function (for example average, maximum or minimum temperature). If there is a thermal defect, a fail-safe alarm is triggered and logged.

Accessories

The ScanIR3 linear scanner comes with an optional modular high temperature housing system that is specifically designed to protect the scanner from process temperatures below 1090°C (1994°F). Although protected in this enclosure, the linear scanner can operate comfortably in high temperature processes, such as those seen in the manufacture of steel and other metals, as well as glass and various minerals.
